A buck and a doe rest on the shore of a misty lake on an autumn morning. They had a long night playing chicken with cars on a nearby highway ;) . I only say this because I had to slam on the brakes twice to avoid hitting a deer after dark on I-16 last week on my way to Savannah.
About Daniel Eskridge
Daniel is a classically trained artist. A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience. Most well-known for his scientific illustrations of prehistoric creatures, he is also accomplished in creating Wild West art, fantasy art, wildlife scenes, and horror illustrations. His works have appeared in magazines and newspapers; the covers of books, albums, and products; and even in a few science and natural history museums. The colors in this are fantastic, Daniel. My freezer is getting kind of empty..now where did I put that rifle? :) Just kidding. This is a lovely piece of work. 'round these parts, we call them rats with antlers as they are a bit of a menace this time of year on the roads. Glad you didn't have a much closer encounter than slamming on the brakes.
