The Chupacabra, or goat sucker, is a cryptid, a legendary creature of folklore that attacks livestock. Here the monster stands on rocks in the fog. 3D rendering.


Recently, I had one of my illustrations of the yeti appear in numerous newspapers, and that go me wondering if there were any other cryptids that were under represented. I found the Chupacabra. It's an interesting creature in that it really has two different descriptions: the original sighting described a kangaroo like reptilian with spines on it's back. But many other descriptions are of a hairless canid. I decided to combine the two and fired up Sculptris and sculpt my own version of the Chupacabra.
