A Roman Centurion wearing Lorica segmentata armor stands atop a cliff before a brilliant sunset. In his right hand, he holds his sword, a gladius, pointed at the horizon. On his other arm he carries a large shield. At his side stands his partner, a massive male lion.


I've had Roman armor is a few illustrations before, but this is the first time I've published a fine art work specifically depicting a Roman soldier. I originally had the centurion standing alone on the cliff and thought he looked a bit lonely. So I gave him his own over-sized pet :D
