The Canadian lynx (Lynx canadensis) is a medium-sized wild cat native to North America, particularly found in Canada and some parts of the United States. It is characterized by its thick fur, large paws, and tufts of black hair on the tips of its ears. These features are adaptations to its cold, forested habitat, aiding in hunting and mobility in deep snow.
Canadian lynxes are solitary animals with a diet that heavily depends on snowshoe hares. Their population numbers often fluctuate in response to the hare's population cycles. They have excellent vision and hearing, which helps them hunt effectively.
These lynxes have a body length of about 31 to 39 inches and weigh between 18 to 24 pounds. Their fur color varies seasonally, generally being more reddish-brown in summer and silvery-gray in winter.

A native of the East Cobb community in the Atlanta Metro area, he majored in art at the University of Georgia and has since accumulated over 25 years of art experience.
