"Wardens of the Wilderness" Two animals that are usually adversaries stand side by side on a high rocky hill top. Together a wolf and a buffalo look down on the snowy landscape as if vigilant for signs of trouble within their lands. They stand not as wild animals, but are symbols of the wilderness of the North American west. Both stand tall upon a rock with a view of a wintery valley below where fir trees dot the landscape. A jagged snowcapped mountain breaks the horizon under a deep blue sky. For this image, I wanted to combine two of my favorite animal subjects. Typically, these two would not get along but I thought it interesting to depict them standing as allies. Would you like to know more about how I make art like this? Check out my blog on the subject: http://fineartbydaniel.com/2017/12/18/how-i-make-art-3d-rendering/ Some software tools I used to make this: http://fineartbydaniel.com/resources/ Thanks for looking! Daniel Eskridge
I am a forty-something living in the Metro-Atlanta area -- one of the few people who was actually born and raised here. I'm married and have two sons and a daughter. By day, I am a senior software engineer. But, by night I am a 3D render artist. I have dual degrees from the University of Georgia, one in Computer Science, the other in Fine Art. So, it seems only natural that I attempt to combine the two by producing art using a computer. Plus, I find that it's a bit more practical than painting as it doesn't require all of the clean up, harsh chemicals, or expensive supplies. In fact, I have been a render artist since some of the first ray-tracing programs were made publicly available in the mid 80's. To follow me on facebook CLICK...
