Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life. ― John Lubbock CONGRATULATIONS ON SALE!

Artist's Description

In the wilderness of the American west, a wild appaloosa horse emerges from fog and darkness. It splashes along the shores of a shallow river at a gallop. It has a white coat with brown spots and its mane and tail are also white.
I really like the way the lighting turned out in this image. In fact, this image really started as a sketch for a larger work of mine (https://daniel-eskridge.pixels.com/featured/appaloosa-river-daniel-eskridge.html), but I decided that I also like the closer view of the horse, so I worked on the lighting bit and added a lot of fog.
