A little girl in a dress runs barefoot through a dense forest. In this part of the woods, ivy has taken over and covers the ground and trees. The sun casts rays through the canopy above to shine down on the girl as she dashes through her summer adventures.
Occasionally, I see something and think to myself that it would look great in an artwork. On Easter of 2022, my daughter was playing with her friends, running through the woods but still wearing their Sunday dresses. I thought it made an interesting image. A few days later, while hiking, I came across a part of the woods that was totally covered in ivy and thought that this too would make a great scene. I decided to combine the two images in my head into this single work.
Enjoy!
