Puffy white clouds drift over a small lake this landscape photograph taken at James H. "Sloppy" Floyd State Park in the North Georgia mountains. The shores are lined with tall pine trees that taper down to a small dam that separates the upper and lower lakes. It's a beautiful late summer day in the Chattahoochee National Forest in the foothills of the Appalachians.
This is photo I took while I was camping and fishing in early September of 2021. The weather was spectacular, though the fish weren't really biting...though I did catch one bass. I liked the way the dam served as a focal point for the scene.
One thing that is unusual about this image though is that it's what I used to test out Topaz's Gigapixel AI (https://www.topazlabs.com/gigapixel-ai/ref/138/) to increase the size without introducing pixilation. It seems to have worked pretty well, though zooming in to full resolution does introduce a bit of an impressionistic effect.
