Description
"A Little Girl and Her Dragon"
A little girl poses for a portrait with her giant pet red dragon in a clearing carpeted with deep green grass.
The girl has big green gray eyes and blonde hair and wears a maroon dress. In her hands she holds a raggedy teddy bear. The child stares back at you with a gentle smile.
The dragon is massive monster covered in red scales with horns on its head, sharp claws, and trails of smoke drifting from its nostrils. The great beast gives you a knowing grin...best not to upset his little princess.
The subject of this work was motivated by the daughter my family is expecting in a few months, whereas, the style is inspired by one of my favorite artists, Adolphe William Bouguereau.
Please enjoy this latest entry in my fantasy art series.
I used digital techniques to make this image including CGI as well as Digital sculpting and painting.
Thanks for looking,

Daniel, I have been remiss in not visiting much... so very hard to choose from all the new work!!! But as always, I end up with one of your stunning Dragons! THIS is absolutely in my top 10 faves of yours ... I adore the whimsy of it as well as the contrast of the large dragon resigned to being gentle with the small girl who seems to have an almost knowing look in her eyes.. Superb work! L/F and shared on Facebook & G+ soon to be shared on Twitter ... Wildly yours, Wild Thing
