Artist's Description
In the wilderness of the American Wild West, a woman in a brown skirt, black boots, and a white skirt rides a red roan horse through an autumn landscape. In her hand she holds a rifle at the ready. Up on a hill ahead, a strange dead tree rises from the golden grasses. Something is amiss with this scary looking tree.
After a very rainy summer, the fall here in North Georgia has been a rather spectacular one with lots of color in the trees. It’s had me in a mood to create some autumn themed artworks. For this one I wanted a subtly western scene. While the woman on horseback could be called a cowgirl, I tried to keep her outfit a bit agnostic of historical period. This could be a scene from today or from a hundred and thirty years ago.
Thanks for looking,
Daniel
